I'm officially in the process of designing/updating this blog to combine my passion of the internets with that of the microbiological world. Each week, look for a summary and description of a new species (if you are a microbiologist, you will enjoy the nebulousness of that term) and some of the recent scientific publications surrounding the organism. I would do daily, but being an active researcher, I would go insane.
New post will be up by next week, and the first bacterium will be a favorite of mine. Dehalococcoides ethenogenes strain 195! If you have any recommendations for different bacteria, just drop me a line!
Additionally, I am going to spend some time futzing around with the blog in the early go. Hopefully I settle on something I like. Hopefully.
